Most public venues are so poorly set up for speaking and hearing that CART would be welcomed by all, including those who can hear, but not that well in such places. Similar text screens would be welcomed in airports and train terminals as well. And lets not forget the audio loop.

Katherine Bouton (blogger extraordinaire and my wife)–you can “hear” her clear, sympathetic, and pragmatic “voice” n all of these blog posts. Another way to deal with hearing loss as a societal problems is to write about it with this kind of clarity and expertise.
